Jacaranda Jubilee Raises Money for Capital Campaign
Over 50 SFCC employees and community members watched the Avon Park Christmas parade from the Hotel Jacaranda veranda overlooking Main Street during the annual Jacaranda Jubilee on Monday, Nov. 30. The Jacaranda Jubilee is a fundraiser for the SFCC auditorium renovation capital campaign. Attendees enjoyed food prepared and served by SFCC’s Culinary students, as well as holiday music performed by Doug Andrews and Davis Collister.
“Our second annual Jacaranda Jubilee was even more successful than the first,” said Don Appelquist, dean, Resource Development and Executive Director, SFCC Foundation, Inc. “We had perfect weather, excellent hors d’oeuvres and beverages, pleasant camaraderie, and a perfect vantage point for viewing the Avon Park Christmas parade. And in addition, the proceeds from the event will help with the construction of the new Theatre for the Performing Arts at SFCC. Everyone had a great time!”
