TAG artists host reception
Artists Holiday Reception in Avon Park The Artists’ Group (TAG) at South Florida Community College will hold a holiday reception in the TAG gallery at The Hotel Jacaranda in Avon Park, Sunday, Dec. 6, 2-4 p.m.
View the unique collection of original paintings, glassware, and jewelry created by local artists. The reception is open to the public.
“TAG will be celebrating the success of the past three years of its service and creativity to the community,” said Nancy Adam, TAG artist. “We are looking forward to the beginning of our fourth year, and would be delighted to have the community come and enjoy art, music, and light refreshments with us at the holiday reception.”
TAG is a group of local artists who meet regularly at The Hotel Jacaranda to develop their individual talents and to promote an appreciation of art and artistic expression. The member-centered program offers a forum for individual and creative artistic collaboration, as well as a venue for art instruction and display.
TAG artists include Betty Heim, retired art teacher; Louise Weis, Wauchula artist best-known for her Florida landscapes; Betty McCarthy, retired photographer; Adams, retired veterinarian whose oil paintings and watercolors depict her love of animals; Kathy Morgan, acrylic painter, jewelry maker, and art glass creator; and Chila Smith, acrylic and oil paints artists.
