SFCC surpasses United Way goal
South Florida Community College’s 2010 United Way Campaign has reached and surpassed its goal by pledging $12,031. “These are tough times, but the employees really came through,” said Susie Hale, director, Human Resources. “We are very thankful to them and ShareenLynn Childs of United Way, who helped us coordinate our campaign.”
This year, 98 SFCC employees participated, 55 percent more than last year, and pledged 38 percent more dollars than last year.
“I’ve never experienced a more caring and thoughtful group of people, or had the honor of having such wonderful colleagues,” said Dr. Norm Stephens, SFCC president. “All of those agencies and people supported by United Way will know that the faculty and staff of South Florida Community College are true champions enriching their communities.”
