59th Annual Nursing Students' Association ConventionRandy Chancey, South Florida State College emergency medical services (EMS) professor, was asked back for the second year to present at the 59th Annual Convention of Florida’s Nursing Student Association (FNSA), Oct. 24 – 27. Chancey’s presentation focused on proper Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and proper intervention in an emergency code situation. Dawn Pisarski, SFSC nursing professor, made a presentation on “Surviving Nursing School: A Holistic Approach.” It focused on her expertise in proper nutrition, stress management, and complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) techniques. Forty-three SFSC nursing students joined over 1,200 students from across Florida for the conference.
