Elizabeth Andrews, preparatory writing instructor, will serve as a guest panelist for Pearson’s Southeast Technology event Changing Times, Changing Students on Nov. 6 at the Dolphin Resort at Disney World. Andrews will give a presentation on how she integrates Pearson’s online writing portion into her curriculum.
Cathy Futral
In October, Cathy Futral, professor, art, presented the workshop, “Watercolor with Cezanne as Inspiration” to 30 art teachers at the Florida Art Education Association (FAEA) conference in Orlando. Futral was assisted by Karla Respress, an SFCC adjunct instructor in pottery and Avon Park High School art teacher.
Susan Livingston, librarian, is among six librarians from various statewide libraries to become the first mentors in the Ask a Librarian Menotoring Program. The mentors will help new librarians learn how to answer their patrons’ requests through the Florida Electronic Library’s Ask A Librarian service.
