Phelps Named Library Superstar
Lena Phelps, chair, library services, was recently named the winner of the Ask A Librarian Superstar Award for June. Each month, the Ask a Librarian team picks an outstanding team member that has shown exceptional participation in the program and awards them the Superstar Award.
“Lena always goes above and beyond her duties on the statewide desk, jumping on to help her colleagues or picking up extra shifts,” said Jessica Riggins, member services coordinator, Tampa Bay Library Consortium, Inc. “Her hard work never goes unnoticed on Ask a Librarian.”
Ask a Librarian is administered by the Tampa Bay Library Consortium and provides Florida residents with virtual reference services through live chat and text messaging. South Florida Community College has participated in the Ask A Librarian program since 2002.
