Brain Bowl Competes in Championship Tournament
South Florida Community College’s Brain Bowl team (from left) Nathan Schwann, Andria Mass, Alex Nichols, and Justin Finch recently participated in the Community College Championship Tournament at Gulf Coast College, in Panama City, Fla. where they competed against other student teams from around the United States. SFCC’s team placed seventh out of 24 teams, narrowly missing advancing to the next round by just one game.
In individual rankings, Schwann finished 12th out of 124 players and received an All-Star trophy, and Nichols finished 48th.
As part of its Community College Week celebration, SFCC will host Battle of the Brains on Thursday, March 8, 12:15 p.m., in Building B. Come out and cheer on the SFCC Brain Bowl team as it competes against the FASTeam (Faculty and Staff Team).
