Retiring Employees Receive Resolutions
Barbara Hergianto, foreign language and humanities professor, retires from South Florida Community College Dec. 16, 2011 and received her retirement resolution and was deemed professor emerita by Dr. Norm Stephens on Dec. 13.
She began her career at SFCC in 1983 as a part-time Spanish and French instructor and became a full-time instructor in 1988. Since 1991, she has served as a foreign languages and humanities professor.
During her time at SFCC, Hergianto served as state vice president of the Association of Florida Colleges and was active in the Florida Foreign Language Association and served as president of Florida Foreign Languages in the Community College.
During her retirement, Hergianto plans to spend time on her hobbies: traveling and yoga.
Judy Zemko, counselor, retires from South Florida Community College Jan. 6, 2012. She received her retirement resolution and was deemed professor emerita by Dr. Norm Stephens on Dec. 12.
She began her career at SFCC in 1998 and since then has served as counselor and chair of the Advising and Counseling Center. She has also served as chair of the Curriculum Committee and as an advisor to Phi Theta Kappa.
During her retirement, Zemko plans on spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, and reading.
