Susie Hale (left) and Sylvia Turner are congratulated by Dr. Norm Stephens for graduating with Leadership Highlands’ Class of 2011 on June 16. Turner was also chosen by her classmates to be the fifth recipient of the Morris Adams Award, the program’s most prestigious honor. The nine-month leadership program is sponsored by the Avon Park, Sebring, and Lake Placid chambers of commerce and administered by South Florida Community College.
