United Way at SFCC kicks off annual campaign
Once again, SFCC employees have an opportunity to donate to local agencies with the start of its United Way annual campaign. This year, the three goals for the college’s United Way campaign are to exceed $12,000 in contributions, become a top ten contributing organization, and receive recognition as one of the organizations experiencing the greatest percentage increase over last year. The SFCC campaign will run through the end of September. As an added incentive to donating, those who are members of FACC and contribute any amount to the SFCC Foundation and to the United Way campaign will receive a unique Panther Spirit pin.
Employees are welcome to drop by the Human Resources or Community Relations departments for a pledge form. Completed pledge forms may be sent to Human Resources.
Donating is easy. SFCC employees may pledge donations to United Way with a one-time contribution in cash or by check or may make a contribution via payroll deduction and have it spread out over 12 months. All contributions through payroll will be deducted January 2010 through December 2010.
Even though a pledge form was submitted last year, a new pledge form must be completed and submitted again this year. Donations may be designated, specifically, for Highlands, Hardee, or DeSoto counties (even though DeSoto County isn’t part of United Way of Central Florida). Donations can be designated for a particular United Way agency of the donor’s choice, such as NuHope or the Humane Society.
