Welcome Back!

logo2cSFCC kicks off it 2010-11 academic year with its annual Welcome Back celebration, Monday, Aug. 16, 9 a.m., in the SFCC University Center Auditorium. Dr. Norm Stephens will welcome employees, introduce new employees and new Career Academy staff, present service awards, and give an update on the state of the college.

Other presenters will include:

Don Appelquist, executive director, SFCC Foundations, Inc., who will speak about donations employees can make to the SFCC Foundation. Keith Loweke, president elect, SFCC Chapter of FACC, will discuss the benefits of FACC membership. Mollie Doctrow, SFCC MOFAC curator, will speak about SFCC MOFAC. Susie Hale, director, Human Resources, will speak about the Wellness Committee and the United Way campaign.

SFCC also welcomes a new faculty member. Cheryl Little, former SFCC adjunct instructor of pre-algebra and beginning algebra, is the new instructor of Developmental Math. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of South Florida, is a member of the NAACP, and has spent time volunteering with several service organizations.
