The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program at South Florida Community College (RSVP) is hosting a free water conservation workshop Tuesday, July 13, 10 a.m., at the SFCC Lake Placid Center. Corine Burgess, Natural Resources Specialist, Highlands County Natural Resources Department, will discuss simple ways to save water and money.

RSVP will also host a low-flow showerhead exchange Friday, July 16, 9- 11a.m., at the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce. Participants can bring in an old showerhead and receive a new high -efficiency showerhead.  Participants will be asked to sign a water conservation pledge and complete a brief survey. This program is funded through a Community Education Grant from the Southwest Florida Water Management District.  For additional information call Kris Schmidt, coordinator, RSVP, at (863)784-7189 or send an e-mail to rsvp@southflorida.edu/.
