Hitt appointed to NATYCAA
Rick Hitt, athletic director and head baseball coach for South Florida Community College, was appointed to the executive committee of the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) at its recent national convention.
During his nine years as SFCC’s athletic director and 12 years as its head baseball coach, Hitt has seen NATYCAA grow in many ways. “Our national organization is comprised of outstanding college administrators who have helped to further improve and enhance NATYCAA over the years. I hope to be able to serve as well as those who have served before me.”
Hitt holds several other national positions as well. He is the chair of the National Junior College Athletic Association’s (NJCAA) Suncoast Conference Baseball Committee and International Baseball Committee, and the national vice president of the NJCAA Coaches Association. He is a member of the Florida Community College Activities Association’s (FCCAA) State Executive Committee and the Council for Athletic Affairs (CAA), comprised of all FCCAA athletic directors.
NATYCAA is part of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), a professional association for those in the field of intercollegiate athletics administration. It provides educational opportunities and serves as a vehicle for networking, the exchange of information, and advocacy on behalf of the profession.
