Award-winning Author Kicks Off Creative Writers’ Series at SFCC

Over 40 students and community member attended the first presentation of the South Florida Community College Honors Program Creative Writers’ Reading Series, Jan. 25, at the SFCC Museum of Florida Art and Culture (MOFAC). Patrick Kendrick, author of the novel “Papa’s Problem,” read a chapter from the novel and a selection of his short stories, and answered questions from the audience. Future presenters for the series are Florida Book Awards Bronze Medal winner Debra Dean on Feb. 22, St. Petersburg Times columnist and author Jeff Klinkenberg on March 22, and an open mic night on April 19, at SFCC MOFAC, Highlands Campus.
